We are honoured to welcome you to Damascus for the 2026 edition of Academia. This forum is the product of every clinician who has taught a junior colleague, every department that has opened its operating room for a wet lab, and every patient whose case shaped a lecture slide.

This year leans further into hands-on learning, more wet-lab capacity, an expanded skill-transfer track, and a longer paper session to make room for the strongest cohort of submissions we have seen. I look forward to greeting you under the dome of Damascus University this October.
