Shady Awwad

Dr. Shady Awwad, MD, is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Head of the Cornea & Refractive Surgery Division at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. He received his medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society recognition and completed his residency training at the American University of Beirut. He then completed two fellowships at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas: one in cornea & refractive surgery and another in ophthalmic pathology. His clinical and research interests focus on analytical corneal imaging, ocular and corneal wavefront analysis, keratoconus diagnosis and treatment, refractive surgery, and intraocular lens calculations.
