Dr Gdih graduated from Al-Arab Medical school, Benghazi-Libya, in the year 2000, he then moved to Canada, where he completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa, then he completed a postdoctoral clinical fellowship training in Glaucoma at the University of Toronto, Canada. After completing his training he was appointed as a teaching staff and glaucoma specialist at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, he has been practicing glaucoma and anterior segment surgery for 11 yrs, he is also heavily involved with research, medical and surgical teaching at the department of Ophthalmology, University of Manitoba. He practices at both Misericordia Health center and the Children Health Science Center where he provides tertiary care at these centers , he is also the founder and medical director of Aqua i Laser center. Dr. Gdih contributed significantly to international ophthalmology, where he travels twice a year to volunteer his time for teaching and providing ophthalmic care to different hospitals in Libya for the last 10 yrs.
